This is the second collaborative album series between the British Fashion Council and Sony Music entitled The Collection for London Fashion Week. The series celebrates the relationship between fashion and music. This album was curated & compiled by the legendary British designer Matthew Williamson. He clearly has impeccable taste, and this glamorous collection takes in shiny electro-pop, rock and shimmering soul. Matthew showcases names that are familiar – such as Alicia Keys, Empire Of The Sun and Kelis, alongside tracks that he has discovered on his extensive travels – such as Oh Land, a Danish electro artist resident in New York City. The artwork for the album was designed exclusively by Matthew Williamson himself, and the package is a lavish hardback book, housing the CD and stunning photography within the booklet.
